just got married after a lot of struggles in getting visas for third country to get marry.

I have filled out some forms and now trying to attaché all the documents and photos.

Does anyone have idea of how long it will take to get the visa for my husband?

I am submitting my file hopefully after a month and then let’s see what happens.

Thanks for the help and assistance in advance.

I assume you are asking about a PR visa through spousal sponsorship. If so, processing times vary - however it would be good to assume it will take around a year (could be more or could be less).

Expect somewhere around 12 months after you submit the application. Maybe a little less, maybe a little more. The target is to complete the application for spousal sponsorship in 12 months for straight forward cases.

One of my families, he got married and then he applied for his wife and after 6 months and 21 days his wife came to Canada.

It really depends on country of origin, and strength of relationship evidences.

My wife got hers in under 6 months, and she's from a country with lots of marriage fraud cases. We had minimal red flags in our relationship

Ours took just over 12 months, and we had a pretty straight forward case. My husband is from Guatemala so our VO was Mexico City, which has a reputation of being a tad slow.

Regardless of what you hear about other applications, just assume it will take about 12 months. If it’s faster, great! But don’t expect it.

Have you guys hired a lawyer or it’s easy to do it by myself?

I was in relation with my husband since 2013 he lives in Afghanistan and then I moved Canada in 2014 and finally we got engaged in 2016 and got married January 2018.

We had hard time getting visas for different countries to go and get married.
Finally we found a way to get marry in Sri Lanka.

We have strong relationship and a lot of evidences that proofs its genuine.

Does income affects spousal sponsorship or No?

I’m working in a clothing store as Assistant Manager since 2016.

No - income has no impact.
