Hi there,

I have worked in Canada for last two years in an IT company. I am in India now and applying for PR from here.

My employer deputed me to Canada on a closed work permit and they do not provide any support in PR application. Therefore, I am unable to obtain a reference letter from them. Asking them this again may jeopardize my job. Can anyone who had similar experience help me in writing a LOE for this? I can provide CIC all supporting docs like deputation letter, a letter that states my responsibilities as per NOC, letter that states full time employment and mention salary, T4, NOA, Pay stubs, etc.

Just need help with putting my case in front of CIC in a proper way. Thanks for your help.

Explain in a letter that you couldn't get the reference letter from your employer and upload a proof (email communication).
Also upload sufficient documentation that covers
1. dates of employment
2. work hours
3. designations
4. Full time/permanent
5. Job duties

The documents you mentioned would sufficiently cover the important information.

Thanks for your reply. I emailed my HR to issue a reference letter but he did not respond to my email. I later called him and he said he can't provide that as it is against company policy. What should I write in LOE then since I do not have any email to prove that my company isn't willing to help me on this.

Also, if anyone on this forum could provide a sample LOE for my case then I would really appreciate it. Thank so you much.

You can upload your email. Mention your situation in LOE. It is just a letter addressed to the case officer where you highlight all the points which you think are relevant your situation. Sign it, scan it and upload it.

Either you can explain it on a latter or ask your current company about the letter with complete details to be used for other reasonable purposes ( such as bank loan approval, mortgage etc. ) of course, they need to address it on the target institutions so it will not show that you are applying for immigration. IN my case, I said it is for bank loan approval , they provided me the letter with complete details, the adressee is the bank and submitted the letter for PZr application. So far, with the PNP and currrent PR application, I have not questioned. Hope this helps.
