Help needed to decide NOC (2171 OR 2283)- Seniors help!! :(

Folks,

I am a QA and fulfill the below roles and responsibilities in my current role. Could someone please look into this and let me know if I should go for NOC 2171 or NOC 2283. Thanks in Advance!

- Conducts requirements gathering, use case definitions and testing of Subscriptions projects as directed by Director of Subscriptions and Senior Project Manager of Business Systems Management Group.

- Identify, analyze, and document the defects, errors, and inconsistencies in software program, outputs, online screens and content. Provide advice to maximize the efficiency, effectiveness and overall quality of software products.

- Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports on multiple projects of varying size

-Works with application development teams to participate in solution design to ensure testability of functions and applications

- Performs spreadsheet analysis and conducts software testing.

- Provides support for process-mapping.

What does your offer letter/reference letter has in the place of designation.
What are the roles and responsibilities stated in your offer/reference letter.
The NOC code has to be in line with the roles & responsibilities mentioned in the offer/reference letter.

Also wanted to know if I should use NOC 2171 or 2173 as I worked in USA as Quality Analyst at one place, Software Engineer Test and then as Consultant-Testing, thank you in advance for clarification

 Tested web based interface of Telephony (VoIP) system that operates on FreeSwitch
 Wrote test cases, regression testing and performed permission based UI testing
 Logged and kept track of bugs in JIRA and reported project status to PM
 Validated database using SQL queries like Select with where clause and few other
queries

an then second job Title is Consultant-Testing: Produced test cases, test plan, write defects and test status reports, performed regression, integration, webservices testing. The technical environment he worked with included JAVA, object oriented programming structure, Oracle DB, Linux, HP ALM.​

Please update if anyone got any result. Which NOC got successful? Are they accepting all or did they reject anyone?

Because most of people get confused with these 3 NOCs. Actually 3 of them are interrelated to most of the QAs.

used 2283 after lot of confusion (As duties are matching more with the 2283), got decision and become PR.

I had similar confusion but many expert suggested go with the closely matched NOC (All the detail are already mentioned in CIC website about duties)



Hope my answer helps. Believe me i have never seen the denail just based on 2173 or 2283 NOC code !!

Thank you for your updates. True. It was confusing many. My designation mentioned in 2171 as Software QA Analyst but my duties are in 2283. Anyway you gave me a confident that they won't reject me.

If possible, can you share me your timelines and about your CRS score for what you got?

And is there good scope for our field and able to find job easily in the job market?
