Hello folks,

I got ITA already, I am not awarded with job offer points (50 or 200) because I don't have a LIMA supported job offer. I am now filling the PR application form.

I currently do have a NOC A job in Canada but it is not LIMA supported. What should I answer for the question "Does XXX have a job offer in Canada?" in "Intended work in Canada" section ?

I believe the job offer here doesn't mean the offer letter sent by my employer at the time I was hired. It should means the arranged employment (valid job offer with LIMO). Am I right ? If my thought is right, I guess I should answer NO for the question "Does XXX have a job offer in canada? "

If I should answer yes, what should I answer for below question then ?

Was a positive Labour Market Information Assessment (LMIA) issued for the job offer in Canada?

Thanks,
Daniel

I know it can be tempting to troll other threads but try to at least post in threads that are relevant to your question ;)

Answer no. I am in pool now and took me few days to do my research for that question . I work in canada but no lmia.

Job offer with out lmia is not a job offer .. hope that helps.

I worked in company name Computer Sciences Corporation for two years and left it in year 2015 and now the company name has changed to DXC from CSC.

My question is what should I do to project that company name is changed ,as in salary slips it is CSC where as in reference letter it is DXC.

The bolded part is not entirely true.

A valid job offer can also be one with a LMIA exempt work permit which is employer specific (closed work permit) and for which the applicant has worked for period of one year.

Geez no, a closed work permit by itself does not constitute a valid job offer, there are other requirements to follow.

You have an open work permit so unless you obtain LMIA you won't have a valid job offer.

So can I get lmia if I am on PGWP ? If my emplyer apply for lmia ?

Can you? Yes.

Will you? That depends whether there is a need for a foreign worker in the field where you're working.
