Hi,
I want to apply for Tourist Visa for my Father at New Delhi.

Quick question:

1) In document checklist, they have mentioned 'Photocopy of your valid return ticket and/or travel itinerary, if applicable'.

I do not want to do tickets until the visa is approved. How can I get travel itinerary done? What does it mean? Also, why are they saying 'if applicable'?

2) Do I need to have a certificate of health insurance for my father as part of documents?

3) Can anybody please share interview questions asked during visa interview? Is there a face to face interview for Tourist visa?

4) What documents or how can I show enough documents to VISA officer to convince him that my father will come back within specified duration mentioned on visa application? Anything that might create a red flag?

Thanks so much for the help !!!

Hi

Travel itinerary means you need to provide details of the planned dates of his travel and where he plans to go. I provided a simple itinerary on a word document

You need to proof he will go back to India so a job, property, children, family ties are different ways to proof that he will go back.
If he has a job he needs to provide an employer reference letter or else he needs to provide property/ children.

No health insurance is required for a visitor visa but if you are planning to apply for a parent super visa than one year Canadian medical insurance is required.

Usually interview is only done if immigration officer feels he/she needs to ask questions, I just got mine and there was no interview

My strong suggestion is if he is being sponsored it should be by someone from India and not from Canada and you should just send him an invitation letter
