Help needed - CV requested but submitted 7 days overdue

Hello,

I received a letter requesting the resume for my EE application. In the letter, they said, "The above information/documents must be received within 7 days from the date of this correspondence. If this deadline is not met, your application will be assessed based on the information that was provided with your application, and your application could be refused." However, I made the mistake of missing the email notification, which feels so silly.

I was still able to submit my CV through the portal (it is weird that the portal shows a due date of December 14, 2024; that’s the only part that gives me a bit of comfort). Now, it shows "replacement provided."

I’m not sure what will happen next – will they see it as overdue and decline the application directly? Does anyone have any idea?

The best you can do is to provide the documents anyway and raise a webform to explain you missed the deadline because the email went to spam or something.

Hello, thank you for your reply. Yes, I submitted the file right away and also explained my situation using the web form. At the time I received the email, I was undergoing a medical exam (both an X-ray and sputum test were requested afterward), and I initially thought the email was confirmation that they had received information from my physician. :(

One more question - if they refused my application due to my mistake, what should I do? The case will be closed and I have to start from scratch?
Thank you very much for you kind help.

I don't have extensive research on this, but I did roughly hear that things similar to appeal or reopen exist.
