HELP NEEDED!!! CRS SCORE DOES NOT SEEM RIGHT!!

Hello guys,

I recently submitted my EE profile. I have 1 year of work experience in Canada in NOC B(. Single, age 27, CELPIP SCORES (SP-10,WR-10,RE-12,LI-11). Also i have a bachelors degree from a Canadian University. I came to Canada in 2008 and started University. No LMIA or ONP. MY CRS Score is 444. I have 1 year full time work experience as a school secretary(NOC 1241) back home from 2006-2007. I am not getting any points for that. The score remain unchanged if i add it or remove it. So does that mean I don't get any points for foreign work exp? Please help.

You can get score for foreign work experience if it is within ten years from the application day. Does your work experience meet this requirement?

Well it falls under NOC B 1241. 10 years back would be 2006 Jan. I worked there from NOV 2006-Dec 2007. Added it to my work experience but the points does not change. Its stuck at 444. Last draw was 453. Only 9 points from getting an ITA.

When did you add your work experience? It usually takes 24 hours to update your score!

One more question is that when I was a school secretary i was 17years 5 months in age. Now the school belonged to a relative of mine and i worked there full time and also pursued my GCE Advanced Level at the same time. Will it be a problem If i am below 18 and working full time?

You may claim points for your FWE only after you become eligible! If you needed to have bachelors degree for that occupation, you wouldn't be able to claim points at age 17!!

No you just required secondary school. And you know back home its easier to get a job at a place your relative owns.

I see that completion of secondary school is usually required!

Doesn't matter to CIC. You need to meet to requirements. Have you had secondary school completed by then?

It does appear that work experience is counted only after the applicant has turned 18.
