I have a two year work permit and I landed in Canada on July 2019 and working since then

Now I want my wife and kid to join me here and I want them to stay with me till my visa expires. What type of visa I can apply and what documents required. ??

Apply for SOWP, Visitor visa will be hard to get and they will be only able to stay with you for 6 months .

Can't they get visitor records??
They can apply for Visitor visa bt chances are less for positive outcome . You will have to show very strong ties to home country and need string reason why would they return to home country .

Check with your organization, if they sponsor for your family dependents.

The very same reason why the Visa Officers will not grant your family a TRV.

They can get the visitor record with validity tied with WP validity.

Why not? That's not the reason for denial. I have seen many cases with similar situation where visitor records were issued based on spouse WP.

So they expect family to stay apart for two years.
It is not the visa officer's or Canada's decision for you to work in Canada and be away with your family. So stay in the topic.

What I am saying is it would be hard to get a Visit Visa for your family because their purpose will be in questioned. Keep in mind that the visa officers will always think that your other half would want stay in Canada. You cannot deny the fact that you are her tie in Canada. The reason she might not return to your home country.
If her purpose is valid, she has strong ties (job, home, assets) and financially capability, she might have a chance.

Ok what I have observed was my colleagues who applied for visitor visa for their spouse while applying work permit for them selves have all got success. In my case I am applying later. Anyways let's see what visa process outcome comes
