Hello,

I'm planning to go to Toronto as an international student (study permit).

I want to inquire about a specific point, to which I'd like a very specific answer:

- Is there any way for an international student to get permanent residence in Canada,
(maybe after his studies or during it) WITHOUT having to work?

What are the available options to get permanent residence status without having to
be employed?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You need to work mate. Or have suitable work experience after your studies in the job category NOC O, A or B. No one is gonna give you PR with you have proper work experience.

If you are planning on graduate school, then you are not required to have employment after your program. You will will be issued a PR after your masters or Phd program. See here for more details: http://www.canadavisa.com/ontario-pnp-expands-to-include-masters-graduates-100916.html
