Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I applied for PR on April 16, been 4 months since AOR. I currently reside in Canada and wanted to wait for PR application to be finalized before travelling but I can wait any longer. I have a BOWP and will apply for Temporary Resident Visa. I am currently unemployed, so for POF of TRV I was going to submit LoE saying that my PR application was submitted and that I currently have a BOWP. Will this suffice?

My other question is that I don't want to notify CIC about a change of address for my PR application because I won't be moving permanently, but I will be away for at least a month. Express entry takes roughly 6 months or less, but sometimes more so I don't know if I will get ready for visa while I'm away. I was thinking of coming back to Canada once I get that email and submitting my passport once I'm back in Canada, but was wondering how much time on average does CIC give you to submit your Passport after PPR?

Bumping this post up since I need a response to the same question.
I have an upcoming work trip to the US at the end of September and I will be completing 6 months after AOR in less than 3 weeks. I found out from a different post that the multiple entry TRV gets cancelled when we get PPR and receive CoPR, until the PR card is received in the mail which takes about 8 weeks on average. Trying to figure out my options since I don't want to cross the land border and would rather fly.

No, for PoF, you submit exactly that--your PoF.
If you applied as CEC and did not submit PoF for your PR app, submit your 4 months of bank statements anyway for PoF as you are unemployed.

30 days. You can request CPC Ottawa for an extension up to 60 days if you are traveling.

I checked wit CIC and CBSA officer on my landing. You cannot do a public commute like flight bus or train.
However if you travel in your own car you can use Landing document to reenter.

I am doing the same as I have to go to India and will be returning to NY and drive from thr.
For some I have seen they drive from toronto to Buffalo take a flight from thr and on their return they drive back from buffalo.

I hope this helps

It gets cancelled after you do the landing, before that you can still go out and re-enter Canada as a temporary resident even if your immigrant visa and CoPR are already issued.

Thanks for the helpful reply. Since it is just one trip, I could time it between the PPR and reentry, avoiding the hassle with crossing the border and saving time to book an appointment at CIC. All personal trips I'd need to visit family in the US, I could always drive and park at an airport. Any idea how much time you receive between PPR and the CoPR? I understand it is typically a little longer to accomodate people who are moving elsewhere
