hi,

I have a question in my mind, As my brother is living in canada, He has completed his studies and got his visa extended.
So in the family information form I have to mention my brother's details, where he's living.

Does it affect my file?? they might think that I will not leave Canada after studies as my brother does.

So If I doesn't mention my brother's details, will this be misrepresentation of information and what will be consequences??

thanks in advance for your help!!!

yes, that will be misrepresentation of facts and u will be banned to enter to canada for 2years.

This will aslo effect when u apply for other countries visa

Your brother's original application contains your name anyway, so there is no use lying. Instead focus on getting more documents to help satisfy the officer that you will leave at the end of your stay.

they will not know if you did not mention it, the only time it will affects you is when you're inviting your brother or any of your family members you did not initially mentioned in family info. peradventure your visa is granted.

What are the chances of getting caught??

there is another problem, that My brother has mistakenly wrote my wrong DOB in family info form when he applied for canada. Is still there any chance of getting caught :-[

Pretty high. Consequences of getting caught are a two year ban from entering Canada and you will never be approved for a work, study or visit visa again.

And even if you're not caught now, this lie will catch up to you once you try to apply for PR or citizenship (CIC does a much closer check for these applications). If the lie is caught when you apply for PR - you will be automatically refused. If the lie is caught when you apply for citizenship, your citizenship application will be refused and your PR status will be revoked.

Don't do something stupid now that will jeopardize any possibility of a future in Canada.

Hello

It would be kind of you if you could advise me in my dilemma.

I am an international student in Canada and will be applying for a coop work permit soon, my parents are separated but not divorced. They live in 2 different countries, my mother has 2 of my siblings while my father has 3 including me. Despite the family being broken up, we were not in contact for more than 11 years, I didn't mention my 2 siblings who was with my mother at the time in my study permit application.

However, after comming to canada realize that I should have mentioned them regardless. Now I want to apply for my work permit and the thought of misrepresentation is killing me? What do I do? Do I submit the application with all the correct details and wait for IRCC to contact me regarding the matter or do I submit my application along with a letter of explanation as to why their names were not mentioned?
