Help! Medicals close to expiry & still not updated in application

No update in medicals so far. Although the test was taken upfront on February 7 2020.

As February 2021 is fast approaching, what will happen if my medicals is not updated even by then?
Would I have to re-take medicals?

I hope you will get the update before your Medicals expire. Otherwise, IRCC will ask for new Medicals through GCKey account.

If I can be of any help, I took upfront medicals on December 2019. And my medical expiry date was 14 Dec 2020. My medicals were passed and updated in my GC key on December 29 2020. Well beyond my expired date.
So I think IRCC automatically gives you an extension of a couple of months. If not, they ask for you to give it again.
