Great Congratulations !!

We also did our new medical today. Hope to see it updated within 2 weeks or so.
Re-Medical done - 6th June
Doctor uploaded redults - 12th June
GC key - 15 June today - you passed Medical Exam
Tracker - Medical still in progress (for spouse they updated as passed though).

BG/Eligibility- still in progress.

I heard Re-med request is positive sign but I think only for those , whose Eligibility/BG is completed already. Mine were all and still in progress. So not sure of at all those re med request is positive sign for me :)

Received portal-1 email. Seems like I was wrong with the thought. They were just waiting my re-med to issue portal-1 email.

so i am applying under family class ( Spousal) i applied from Canada and came to india . I uploaded my biometric and medicals (done in 2021) As a webform after i got biometric request. Couple days later I Got the medical request too so I went ahead and did biometric- before doing the medicals i see my status in the tracker as medicals completed .
So now i am confused should i or should i not go for another medicals

So if we had given medicals in last 5 years will the IME results expiry date change to a future date or remain past dated ? asking as i had got a medical request but before i could do it , it shows as complete with old medical details updated

I am closely following this topic as well, and congratulations for receiving the Portal 1 email. I find myself in a similar situation. Initially, I had my medical updated in GC Key to MP on May 29th, and the tracker reflected this change on June 30th. However, after two days, the status on GC Key reverted back to 'You do not need a medical exam.'

Furthermore, the tracker now displays a new IME number, distinct from the old number associated with my previous medical exam conducted in 2020. Previously, the expiry date was for June 2021, but it has now been updated to June 2024. I am not sure what is happening!!

What's your take on this guys?

Application type: Non express - oinp masters graduate stream - online portal
AR: Dec 12, 2022
AOR: March 02, 2023
Medical Passed: May 29, 2023
Medical reverted back: 2 June, 2023
Hi there how are you i am at the same boat as you ? Is there any update for u ?

Yes. They will update the old Medicals with a new expiry date (12 months from the day they update it) if you're eligible (sounds like you are)

My medicals expired mid application, they sent me a request for medicals again (even though I was eligible for extension). I ended up doing the medicals again, but they ended up using my old medicals (and extended that) instead of using my new medicals.

So if your medicals shows as complete (on GCKey) and the PR Tracker has a 2024 expiry date, you're golden!

Yes, it's a good sign. From what i've seen on the forums, if they've extended your Medicals, then there's like a 99% chance that your eligibility has been marked as "complete" or "recommended pass" in gcms notes. The medicals need to have 6+ months on them for them to issue PPR or Portal Email (if you're inland).

Once they extended my medicals and marked it as complete in the tracker, my Portal email came a few days later.

Yes you have nothing to worry about. Both the tracker and GCKey don't get updated frequently for everyone. My eligibility showed it was completed on the tracker around the same day my portal email came through from memory - and it was backdated to when it actually passed. Verifying medicals again is one of the last things they do.

Thanks for your inputs, they sent a request for new medicals, biometrics and current address ( We left canada shortly after submitting application due to family emergency)
We completed the medicals again and then got the pre arrival letter today. Fingers crossed

Thanks

Hi,
I have been reading all the comments and need some light on my situation.
I got my gcms notes on 13th September and it said that my case was parked due to ' Medical Issue ' and eligibility was not Started.
However, on 23rd September, i saw my tracker got updated with medical extension date and IME number. It showed as passed on gckey too.
However, eligibility on tracker is not started and background check on gckey says not applicable.
Is this a good sign? When do they extend medicals normally? Is it extended to everyone?
Thank you for your comment and time.

Hi guys,

I used my my old medical exam result which is around 4 years ago for my EE application, as IRCC have a temporary 5 year medical exempt period.

Today when I checked my application tracker, the medical exam shows a green- "completed" but not passed. What does that mean? Did I pass the exam or not? Or does it mean they accept my exempt?

Thank you. Any reply is appreciated.
