HELP ME.Problem with validation of IMM5710 for Open Work Permit

Hi,

I have a question about validating IMM5710 form for Open Work Permit.

I'm working on Open Work Permit application which I will send it along with my inland application.
There is a "Validate" at the bottom of the IMM5710.
and I think I need to leave employer detail section as 'UNKNOWN' and only filled Duration of expected employment question. (From end date of current visa expiry to after 1 year)

Is it right or I am thinking to submit a handwritten form (no barcodes) instead of electronically filled out ?

This is one exception to the `Don't leave anything blank' rule (I think).

I had the same question and after speaking with someone at CIC, I was told to not type anything (not even UNKNOWN), because once you type somthing into the first field, you need to complete the remainder of that section, since the form thinks that UNKOWN is the name of your employer. LOL!

So, leave that section blank and then validate the form.

Oh, and it's a good idea to write (by hand) across the top of the form after you print it out, something like:
OWP APPLICATION SUBMITTED WITH INLAND SPONSORSHIP APPLICATION.

This lets the OWP department know that this should be processed AFTER you receive your AIP.
