Hi

Appeal case for my son whom was a baby at the time I left for canada, his name not on my file,I travelled after he was born.

I just heard that you have to pay for an appeal, I spoke to a lawyer which said its 2500 bucks just to appeal, and money up front.

How much does it cost to appeal is the lawyer right

How do I cancel the appeal, I know I might loose but I was hoping they would consider is file under Humanitarian an commpassionate grounds.

Could I just cancel and apply under Humaniarian and compassionate grounds or do I need to appeal and have them consider that routh

Is that $2500 what the lawyer is charging you or the actual fee? That sounds like an awful lot for a right to appeal.

Given the severity of the issue at hand, I would take the time and phone CIC and ask them directly. Just seems to me that $2500 is a huge fee to pay, and all of it up front, all to a lawyer who claims that the cost doesn't even include his/her wages.

You are so right, maybe the lawyer misunderstoon what we asked, thought were talking about a fee for using is services.

2500 bucks for an appeal, sounds crazy now that you think of it

I will check further, thanks for everything

oh

thats the lawyers fee, but he made it seem that it was the cost for the appeal, and that CIC charge that much for appeal.

3500 bucks for a lawyer and majority of the time you do all the work. wow, he said 2500 bucks, I was going to cancel my appeal as I thought I would have to pay CIC 2500 bucks for appealing my case.

Gosh
