Help me in getting PCC form UAE !!!!

Dear Members,

I had stayed in Sharjah,UAE(on Airport Free Zone Visa) from may 2006 to march 2008. Now i need a PCC from the same place. I have given the job to an agent. I had given my documents to the agent on 18 jan but till today there is no concrete answers from the agent. Earlier he said that there is some new form available and he is not able to find where it is available. With the help of Saxena.Sagar on this forum i told the agent thet where the form will be available. but now the agent is saying that the form is not available there.

Can anyone help he in getting the PCC or tell me what should i do ???

and now considering the fact that you are completely stuck, i can only advise you that.. please call for help from forum members here who are in sharjah/dubai/ajman who can just collect a PCC form from rolla CID office and courier it to you.. i could have done that for you if i would have been in UAE now

im sure theres no one who can give an alternate way for this. if you just arrange for someone to collect and send you that PCC form, i shall give you my cell phone number to communicate so that i can personally look into it till you get your PCC of sharjah.

To be more specific, I am trying to get my UAE-PCC from USA.

As per CIC's instructions http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/mid-east/united-arab-emirates.asp

1. I have got FBI finger print form from local policy station
2. Notarized by Notary Public.
3. Notarized by county clerk
4. Certified by California State secretary.
5. Certified by US State secretary.
6. Certified by UAE-Embassy.

Now ready to send whole bundle to one of my friend in UAE to get PCC.

I am getting confused by the "PCC form" you mentioned in the above post. and how much is the application fee need to pay?

In addition to your finger prints also send your passport and visa copy.
the process of getting PCC from every emirate is different. me and aybee were discussing sharjah PCC. were you on sharjah visa?

Ohh yes, Sagar thanks for reminder for passport and visa copy, along with i need to send 35$ fee and 2 photos.
I was in Abudhabi for period of about a year.

1.The applicant’s fingerprints are to be taken at any police station within the country of residence.
2.The fingerprint card is to be attested by the UAE embassy in the applicant’s country of residence.
3.Enclose a cheque of USD 35.
4.Enclose a copy of the passport with the former residence of the applicant within the state.
5.Send the application to Abu Dhabi GHQ, P.O. Box 253
6.Certificates will be delivered by post.

Sending the Documents to the UAE
Once you have received the documents back from the UAE Embassy, you have to send them to the appropriate agency in the UAE. Please include the following items:
1. The fingerprint form legalized by the UAE Embassy
2. A copy of your previous residence permit in the UAE
3. A copy of your recent passport
4. Two (2) colored passport-size photographs
5. Any required fees (depends on jurisdiction)

I have sent my complete bundle to a relative to get PCC from Abu dhabhi.

1. I have got FBI finger print form from local policy station
2. Notarized by Notary Public.
3. Notarized by county clerk
4. Certified by California State secretary.
5. Certified by US State secretary.
6. Certified by UAE-Embassy.

Instead of issuing a PCC they have placed a stamp on the back of "Certificate by US State secretary."

Is that the one CHC is looking for, or it should be separate letter?

I should be a separate letter.
PCC is a A4 size paper which has the name of the police department and its details on the header (like a company's letterhead). Then it also states that there has been no record found against your name. It has your photograph as well, scanned. Its a complete A4 size paper, not any stamp.

BTW what does the stamp say?
Had you also sent a attested copy of your passport and visa and 2 photographs? Fees 100 dirhams was paid? Was typing of application form done properly?

Thanks for the prompt reply. the stamp what they put it on the back of all certified copy is in Arabic. (I am not able to read it.)
yes i sent the attested copy of passport/visa, 2 photograph with fee.

Looks like my relative was not able to make the correct request/application.

do you have an idea about application, and what should i tell my relative to follow?

Hi Max,
CHC strictly wants all documents in english or french. And that stamp seems to be of no use. For dtailed procedure about getting PCC from sharjah read my comments on this thread.

for dubai, abu dhabi etc. the procedure is slightly different and i would request you to please ask Qorax. He will be the best person to guide you on this and give the exact detail. I was dealing with sharjah CID

Hi all!
I need to get a police character certificate from Sharjah, UAE.
Thing is, I lived there for 9 months after my 18th birthday, and this was back in 1997. After that I settled in Pakistan, for higher education and job.

Now How can I get my PCC? I cannot go there, and I hear it is very difficult to get it via mail, as the UAE departments tend to loose it.
I know the procedure, even got my finger prints attested from Sindh Police/UAE Embassy/Foreign affairs.

Just want to know how to get UAE/Sharjah PCC while I'm in Pakistan. Any contacts, help ill be really appreciated.
My Father and Sister are still there. Also have my old buddies there. But all of them get the same answer from Dubai and Sharjah police "The berson has to be in UAE to get the PCC. We cannot issue a PCC in His/Her absence."
