HI guys,
My note says eligibility: recommend interview. What does it mean? does anyone have this on note? is it a sign of refusal?
Please share your thought!

Your timeline? Alone application or with family?
Hi there, timeline:
Submitted on 22 May 2020, SDS online, full application with biometrics and medical done upfront.
Apply with Spouse OWP.
15 July 2020 in the note: Officers said I am not eligible for SDS because I paid 6,4k tuition (for first year) but the total money for 2 years is 12,8k (the amount I filled in the application form, "tuition of your studies" section.
10 Sep: received a request to upload again receipt of tuition. I didn't understand why at that time and resubmit again the receipt for first year tuition with a letter to explain that money is sufficient to cover first year tuition.
30 Oct: after receiving the note, I did another webform, this time with a confirmation from the school saying that 6,4 is sufficient to cover first year tuition and other fees, send along with the detailed expenses of the school => with the hope that I can prove to them I already paid full first year tuition. Other students in my class who paid also 6,4k don't face this issue.
After that, no news, no AIP or anything...

"Recommend Interview" suggests that one officer thinks you should be interviewed and is requesting the opinion of other officers to either agree or disagree. In my case, the GCMS notes showed that in one of the updates to my application, an officer thought I needed an interview, and it showed "Eligibility: Recommend Interview". However, at a later time, another officer changed it to "Passed". So in conclusion, "Recommend Interview" does not necessarily mean you will be interviewed, however, the possibility remains.

hi there, eventually you passed eligibility?

Yes. But that does not mean a final decision as I'm still waiting for any update..
hi, so you receive an AIP already right? Do you remember when did you see this on the note and after how much time it showed you passed?
Thanks for sharing

I'm so sure you'll soon be getting that OPR.

The document does not reflect the dates of the updates. I recommend you read the rest of the notes and try to find out why an officer thinks you need an interview.

All I can do is pray and hope. Thanks!

hi there, I read the note, the only comment is about my tuition payment which is a misunderstanding, I explained above and already did webform to inform IRCC about this...
Apart from that, there is no other comment...
I don't really know what happens.

I hope it turns out well for you. Try to read it very carefully as one thing or two might slip past your eye because the document is very long, and I tell you from experience.

Hi! How do you know the it later changed to “ passed”? Did you order GCMS twice? Or , the updates were all in the same GCMS? In my case, it changed from “ failed’ to “ recommend interview”. I don’t know what does it mean

All in the same document. And that means you were going to be refused, but then another review took place and saved you.

Hi I just read carefully the note. The numbers before each activities become smaller for more recent activities right? If this is correct, in application 3 they said recommend interview, then in application 2 they said aborted, then nothing updated
