Help in answering a question for sponsoring parent.

Hi to the experts,

I have sponsored my wife under the family class in DEC 2014, she became a PR on Nov 2015. She is currently with me in Canada.

Now i am planing to sponsor my mother to Canada under the family class. I am having confusion with one question in the IMM5768E form .

Number of persons included in previous undertakings you signed as a sponsor and that are still in effect. - ?
Number of persons included in previous undertakings you signed as a sponsor and that are not yet in effect. - ?

Yes i sponsored my wife, but i dont understand "still in effect OR not yet in effect"

Please help.

Hi

Your wife is considered an undertaking "still in effect". That undertaking lasts for 3 years from when she landed as a PR

Another question.

I am scared i dont meet the Federal Income Table for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship for the year 2013 and 2012 , however can you guys confirm.

How would CIC know that in 2013 i was single, so wouldn't i be considered under 1 person income in 2013 ? which as per the sheet is $37,708 , but if i take 4 as a count when i apply in december 2016 then the # would be $56,280

Now i am 2 ppl and in Sept 2016 i am having a child.

How would cic know what is the size of my family in 2012 or 2013 ? shouldn't i be calculating my min necessary income as per that year depending on my family size that year ?

The total # of persons for determining the minimum necessary income are 4. (Me, My wife, my mom who is yet to be here, and child yet to come to canada)

It doesn't matter what the size of your family was in previous years - all that matters is the size of your family at the time you apply. So if you are planning on sponsoring your mother in 2017 and your child is born before the end of the year - then you need to meet LICO for 4 people in 2015, 2014 and 2013 to qualify to sponsor your parents.

because there i currently see 2014, 2013 and 2012.


Just to be clear i need to be looking at my T4's for 2015, 2014 and 2013 , If thats yes then the LICO's have to be updated with the most recent year and most probably that will be sometime by the end of this year ? correct me if i am wrong

look at NOA line number 150 for 2013, 2014,2015 to get qualify
For 2015 just add 2k from what is in 2014. Table will be updated by CIC later
