My husband in Canada is the sponsor.

His dad is in Fiji is the applicant.

I am the one that filled out all the forms (IMM0008, etc. )

Do I have to put my name on this "Representative Form"

I see there is a section where you can tick off (Section B) "Your representative is UNPAID and is a family member"

Please if someone could clarify.

Unless you wish CIC to direct all correspondence relating to the application to you and they wish to appoint you to do business on their behalf with CIC, NO, you are not the representative. Just filling in the forms doesn't make you a representative. It's about receiving correspondence and doing business with CIC on behalf of the applicants.

Hmmm. . the thing is I would rather receive all paperwork for this application as they (father and mother-in-law) dont speak well English and its not easy for them to "get things done" (to go to town).

The form says if I fill it out as their rep then I would get all info about this application via the email address I provide CIC.

I wonder who will be the representative otherwise?

You can be the representative, that's fine. You will then be able to do business with CIC on the applicants behalf. I was the sponsor AND representative for my partner, as I was the one who knew more about the process and would be better equipped to deal with CIC if there were problems.

So feel free to fill it out for you as the representative.
