Help - I forgot something and sent my application yesterday

Hi All.

I forgot to write on the back of the 8 photos the name and DOB of the individual in them!

I sent my package yesterday (go figure) and it is sitting in Canadian Customs right now.

Should I just send 8 new photos (with the name and DOB) of the applicant. What information should I include in the letter to make sure it get's added to our file as we have no Client ID yet.

I was thinking - sponsers name, applicants name, our passport numbers, our date's of birth, our addresses - any thing else?

I am affraid I will only get my client ID number once they start processing the application in which case we run the risk of having the entire thing returned to us.

Does anyone else have any experience with sending a forgotten document before CPC requests it?

I have never heard of an application being returned because of forgetting to write the names and DOBs on the back of the photos and I know plenty have done it. Doesn't mean it can't happen but I would wait. There is no way to match it up now. Chances are it will not cause a problem and will be sent to the visa office for processing. Once you get your file number, then send the corrected photos to the visa office.

We forgot to do this too for my husband's application. Sent the right number of photos. Just didn't write anything on the back. (Ooops!)

Anyway, nothing happened. My husband did have to provide two new photos when the passport request came. However our little error didn't seem to cause any problems with the processing of the application itself.

I think rjessome's advice is spot on. Wait until you have a file number and then resend the photos. We didn't resend the photos. However since you're application covers more than one person, it would probably be wise to do so just in case.

It turns out I also forgot to send in his medical receipt. This is way more crucial. Should we send it in now - and again what info should I include in order for it to get matched up to our application or should I wait until they ask for it. Which I am sure they will.

You have to wait until they send the application package back. Then you can then include the corrected photos as well as the medical. It's practically impossible for them to match this up if you sent it now. CPC Mississauga gets about 1000 applications every week.

Is there anyway you can get the courier company to return it to you? You mentioned before that it is sitting at Customs and I don't know if you used a private courier or not. I don't even know if it is possible but it might be worth a phone call.
