Please help!! or anyone once had the same experience?
I am an International student in Toronto. I received an e-mail sent by CIC office on November 18th telling me that my study permit was approved and the secure document was already sent to my address. However, 2 weeks (more than that) have past and I still haven't received the envelope yet. Now I am badly in need of the original document (study permit) to apply for the temporary residence visa (TRV), because it expires on Dec 31st.
I have already booked air ticket to travel back to my home country during Christmas holiday and plan to come back in January. But without the original study permit, it is hard to get the visa application approved successfully, and thus I cannot come back on time!
How long does the mailing time usually takes? Is 2-3 weeks normal?
I understand that the document may be delayed since Canada Post are receiving high volumes of packages before Christmas. But I am worried that they lost my document in the mailing.
