hi good people of forum , your reply is much appreciated, may God Almighty be there for us at our point of needs amen. my post is a bit long but am sorry as I implored u good people of this forum to help a friend out.

I am asking this question on behalf of a friend because he is frustrated and e has lost hope. he is a family member of a Canadian citizen, his family member who happen to be a citizen of Canada told him e filed for family class sponsorship and he was told the sponsorship has been approved after some weeks, later e was told to filled a work permit form made outside Canada in which he was told to scan to the email of his sponsor who happens to be a citizen. after few weeks again , e was told to send Ontario apprenticeship form signed and thumb printed , all which was told the fillings are done in Canada in which my friend stays in Ghana.

he narrated the whole scenario to me, and I told him I will help ask on this forum as I respect the good judgement of this great people on forum .

please what type of arrangement is this, could this be real. he is confused and scared. sorry for the long post .

The story doesn't make sense.

He doesn't qualify for a work permit. Only spousal sponsorships from within Canada qualify for a work permit.

The apprenticeship doesn't make sense either. These are almost always limited to Canadian PRs and citizens.

Also, applications takes months or years to process, not weeks.

There must be more to the story he's not telling you. Who is the family member in Canada who has sponsored him?

Not possible. The sponsor may have been approved, but not a whole application in only weeks. In addition, your friend would have to have filled in forms of his own

He doesn't need to do this as part of any family sponsorship stream. There are very few cases where you can get a work permit while you wait, and for those you need to be in Canada.

One that doesn't exist as you've described it. If he has been told exactly that, then he's being misled in some way. Alternatively, that is not an accurate description of what's happening.

When you say brother - do you mean you have the same mother/father? Or are you referring to a cousin?

You have to submit all of the paperwork together (sponsor and applicant paperwork). There are a number of documents YOU would have had to have signed before the application was submitted. Did you sign anything? Did you provide personal information? Did you complete any forms?

Again, you don't qualify for a work permit. You also do not qualify for an apprenticeship.
