HELP HELP ... Starting Express Entry Process! India to Canada ....!

Hi,

I reallllly need some help.
Last month after visiting numerous immigration agencies me and my fiance have decided to go ahead with the online process for canada immigration.
We have registered for the IELTS and are preparing for the same.
However, I have a HUGE doubt regarding the ECA documents.... I am from Pune university and he is from an AICTE approved university. I have read about the documents that have to be submitted on the WES website... I would like to know in detail from someone who has gone through the ECA process.. I mean gone to his/her university and got the necessary documents, sent it to WES and received the report, as I have read that in case all documents are not in order the ECA rejects your application and you have no refund

Also, I am getting married in Jan 2016 , so currently I am single. and i see that singles get more points than the ones with spouse.. so should I do that ?? and once I get a PR , I can get my husband ?? If so , how much time would a fresh application for him take?? :-\


It would be great if someone could call me and guide me ....!!

Hi Snigdha,

First things first, try not to fall into the trap of consultancies. They are only trying rip you off a lot of money and I dont see them doing much service.

Be prepared to wait. For a year atleast ( If you are applying for ONIP then even more). Thats how slow the things are at the moment.

Regarding ECA i am not sure about the process in pune. I am from hyderabad. What I had done is I have taken a print out of the Academics records request form, went to my university got it attested. Along with that I have taken 1 set of transcripts ( all sems, CMM, provisional certificate) and kept all in an attested envelope. Sealed them all and posted it to WES.

to know what all documents you should be sending pls check wes.org.

Now that you are not married try applying separately.

Hi Snigdha,

I had my WES evaluation. They are very good, quick and systematic. Just follow the instructions on their website and you would get your ECA report. I had no problems with my ECA done recently.

if you cant go directly to your university, use help of transcript services in india... they charge like 5k per person.. including shipping to WES Canada, quite worth it - saves me the hassle of dealing with useless govt people
