Help help help....WES did'nt recognize India's top ranked institute...what to do

Hi,

I have a PGDM from IIM Indore, can you please let me know if it is essential to submit the following documents for getting the Masters Equivalence

1. AIU equivalence of MBA
2. AICTE recognition certificate

or we can send the other documents mentioned in the checklist ( Transcripts+copy of Degree) and get this clarification over mail?

Also, since I cannot see XLRI Jamshedpur in the list provided by the WES tool, I am thinking of sending

I have done my PGP-FMB from SP Jain. I had sent my transcripts to WES (sent directly from institute) and I have received an ECA report exactly same as the one you had received without AICET and AIU documents (Two years of post-secondary study at a non-recognized institution). I wish to submit the relevant accreditation documents of SPJIMR to WES to get my report corrected.

My Queries are as follows:

Question 1: After receiving your first ECA report what process/steps did you follow/take to get your report corrected? Kindly explain in detail
Question 2: The copies of institute's accreditation documents i.e. AICET & AIU have to be sent physically in a sealed envelope by the institute like transcripts or they accept documents over the email?

A quick reply will be highly appreciated.

Hey.. SPJIMR is helpless in this matter. Incacse ur course is AICTE approved u can write an email to WES and they will update your report.
In my case my course PGFMB is not AICTE approved so i got i response that from WES that for INDIA they only recognise AICTE approved courses/degrees and mine didn't get accredited.

Well SPJCM is not recognized by WES (atleast the Singapore campus for sure) WES follows some Star certification which SPJCM never applied for. Rule is simple if WES does not list the college name on their website 99% chance they will not recognize it. Best would be is to take advantage of your dual degree (if you have one from SPJMIR)

Yea I have the dual degree from SPJIMR, but I cant find even that on WES website. Also, I see someone on this thread mentioning that SPJCM is recognized..

well SPJCM has multiple degrees and I am not sure which one did that person have. But I can confirm that GMBA is not recognized. call WES and confirm before you apply. I wasted my $$ coz i assumed it was recoganized

There are a few other evaluation agencies, any idea if any other recognizes SPJCM GMBA..?

I am not sure on which other agency will recognize ; but yes if you do find one that does it; please do come back and share, I am sure there are many people out here waiting for that ray of hope . Best of luck

Guys, I see there have been posts on SPJCM/SPJSGM Global MBA questions after my post on this thread.

WES recognized my Global MBA degree in 2016; one of my batch mate also got his GMBA degree recognized as recent as in August 2017.

I am glad that many fellow GMBAs are coming to Canada. ....

Please ensure you ask SP Jain (SPJCM) to send your transcripts to WES. SP Jain may take some fees for it; however its important SP Jain sends it to WES.

my transcripts were sent to wes by college itself.. i paid a fee for it as well.. like you mentioned..
