Hey Guys,

I have a questions regarding my online Citizenship application, please let me know if you have experience in this:

1) I have translated my passport (it has stamps in foreign language). The certified translator has stapled the documents , Can I remove the staple to scan the document and staple it back ?

2) Do I have to include the receipt of my digital photo in the LOE section ? or just the photographer name is enough ?

3) I have a corporate which I do some IT contracting job beside my regular full-time job. Should I mention the employer in the activity section as my corporate name or the company that hired my services through my corporate ?

  1. What I've always done for stapled (or otherwise attached) documents is fold them in the corner and make sure none of the content is covered, then scan them. I don't think removing the staples would be an issue though.
  2. Best to include the receipt.
  3. Are you actually incorporated? Or do you have a sole prop with a DBA name? If it's the former you can mention either in the form (e.g. "contracted through my corporation"). I don't remember if there's enough space in online application for it though. If it's the latter then you are the business so no need for extra detail. You can also include an explanation letter though I don't think it would be necessary.

1) there’s no need to upload all your passport pages for the online application, hence you don’t have to translate it. You obviously can, but it was not required.

2) also not required. You can add it if you want, but if was a hard requirement they would have explicitly mentioned it

3) if you own a corporation and you don't have a payroll where you pay yourself employment income, then your role at the company is “owner”
