HELP, extended stay, still not answer and my permit expires tomorrow.

I have extended my visitor visa once this year, and have an application to extend it ongoing right now.

For me it takes closer to a month, not 14 days. You have no reason to worry. While you wait for a decision you have implied status. Just relax and wait for it to come.

I have been on implied status since September 24th and I am relaxed (and I don't live in B.C.!)

Hey everyone!
Just wanted to update, finally got my visitor extension approved yaaaaaaa
However, there was something weird, dont know if this is common. I received the actual visitor record by mail before i got the email notification!

I had the paper with me this morning at 9am and the email notification arrived today at 11am...so weird, i never expected to get the paper before the email. Says it was issued on September 30th.

Anyway thanks everyone for your help. Also... i got it until May, one month before my passport expires. I did send the email from my passport embassy saying i could renew my passport it in canada but still CIC only granted 7 months.

thanks again! Now to worry about the next paperwork, this is never ending!

Did you ask for a year?

I would advise you to apply for a new passport now and then a month before your visitor record is due to expire you can apply for an extension again (if you have not landed).

Yes i did asked for a year. I tried to renew my passport (is from Spain) but embassy said i could only do it 6 months before it expires if I wanted to do it inside Canada with a visitor status.
So i guess I will have to wait for february, renew my passport and then on may reapply for a visitor extension.
Or maybe I could have my PR before may!! that would be amazing.

Thanks for sharing the info. I also applied around that time and still waiting for mine (plus outland spousal PR application just sent to Ottawa). I have a British passport and no TRV and tried to apply online but just could not. It kept returning an error. Did you experience the same issues?

Our situations are very similar except

1. My application has not been transferred/no SA yet.
2. I applied online for my visitor extension (still waiting).

I do not see you on the London Outland spreadsheet - I know your file was transferred to Ottawa but surely you entered London VO on the form?

I had entered Hong Kong VO because I also have right of abode there. I'm on the August Outland thread, where you had kindly replied to my question about outland file transferred to Ottawa.
