Hey guys, I am working at a fast food restaurant( Triple O's which is a franchise under WhiteSpot) as supervisor in Vancouver. And I want to ask:
1.Whether this position is equivalent as NOC: food service supervisor (6311)?
2.As this is a franchise, my pay is not very high, just $12/hr, will this cause any problem/doubt if I apply under CEC?
3.Is there any requirement for the franchise( such as how many full-time employees it must have? )

Much appreciated guys :)

1. based on your title, I would say yes you qualify under 6311 (Skill B), but note that the duties are also as important as the title is. you need to show that you do the stuff that makes your job under 6311.
2. No, it will not be a problem. As long as you get paid and have the required hours, you are good.
3. There is no such rule regarding what you are saying. CEC is different from Provincial rules and does not have any requirement about how big or small is the staff of your employer.

Isn't 6311 a category D NOC. Please correct me if I am wrong. I thought Skill B start with 2 and 3.

You are wrong. The one in question is skill B.

It's always good to check these things out before scaring someone else ;)

A quick search of google gives you the information you are looking for - http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2011/pdf/Matrix.pdf

Thank you so much for your reply:) Yes, I have looked at the job description listed under 6311, and what I am doing match that description. It's just the wage is considerably low which my friend told me that supervisor position should be at least $16/hr otherwise they will not believe that I am actually doing the supervisory job. But from my research, fast food restaurant supervisor unfortunately is paid around 12-15( unless you are a supervisor for some fancy or high-class restaurant). So I just wanna make sure on this one so that I don't waste my time on this :) Thank you again for your help.
