Help! Does Background check takes this long?

Hi house, please help. Hubby's application was submitted Nov 2022 and Aor also in Nov 2022 ever since then there is no progress and after numerous calls and assistance we found out BG has not been completed because the CSIS part is still pending and the RCMP one is complete.

Is there anyway to understand what's going on and how Background check can last up to a year without progress? He is an ottawa applicant.

No one knows how IRCC is working. Some got their citizenship in 2 months and some in 4 years. It is just like that
