Hi everyone

I just created my EE profile. According to CRS I should have received 53 points for more than 2 years Canadian Experience and 50 points for certificate of Qualification with CLB +9 under skills transferability factors. It shows all the information has been filled in when I go back and try to edit the profile, but it didn't award me any points for the experience. Is there something I need to do differently? Do I need to mention my work exp from my home country even though they were all temporary summer jobs? Please help I need to upload my profile ASAP before the next draw.

Thanks in advance..

Most current NOC 0621 with 10 months of experience. The past one's are mostly NOC 1123.
NOC 0621 wont count as it is only 10 months
NOC 1123 should count -
have at least 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply

Self-employment and work experience gained while you were a full-time student (for example, on a co-op work term) does not count under this program.

When you say mostly were NOC 1123 - how many months did you work on this NOC? was it fulltime? and under i.e PGWP

Excluding the time worked as a ft student. My experience is:

* 3 months under NOC 6311
* 2 months under NOC 6421
* 6 months under NOC 6411
* 6 months under NOC 1123 (Supervisory role)
* 5 months under NOC 1123 (PT 10 hrs a week)
* 2 months under NOC 6421
* 6 months under NOC 6421
* 10+ months under NOC 0621

I thought we get points for Canadian work experience regardless of how longs you have worked at a certain position.

Please let me know if you score updates. I didnt get any points for my NOC 2174 work experience for 1.5 years under the canadian experience class. The 1.5 years doesnt have to be consecutive in one job does it?

You cannot use work experience in the following occupations to qualify for the CEC:

Cooks (NOC 6322)
Food service supervisors (NOC 6311)
Administrative officers (NOC 1221)
Administrative assistants (NOC 1241)
Accounting technicians and bookkeepers (NOC 1311)
Retail sales supervisors (NOC 6211)

This is what I was thinking of earlier. I don't know if it has been reversed or not.

In order to eligible under CEC, 1 year of Canadian experience should be "Continuous" i.e.

Jan 2014 to Jan 2015 --> 1 year - will gain points for 1 year exp.

Jan 2014 to June 2014 --> 6 months and again Aug 2014 to Feb 2015 --> 6 months --> this 12 months doesn't count to 1 year as it is NOT continuous, as I did not work in the month of July 2014 ( I lost a year of exp. coz of this crap)
