My partnet and I both applied student visa.
When we applied we chose single.
Now my partner got the visa and i am still waiting.
We think about if we changed our status?
What should we do? Thx

When did you become common law? Do you have proof to show that you have been living together continuously for at least one full year?

Yes, actually we have been living together for more than 2 years.
And we alreay got the letter from ward office to proof that it is true we lived together since 2014.

We decided not to use common law partner when we applied ur visa first bcoz both of us want to go to school and use student visa.
And also our nationality is different and it might cause a little bit complecated.
We treid to join our bank account too but unfortunately in our country residece even family cant have joint bank account.
Thats why we didnt write common law parnet at that time.
But now after considering a lot of things, we think we should change our application.

I don't see how changing is going to be possible. Technically your partner committed misrepresentation by saying they were single when the two of you were actually common law. It's too late to change now, in my opinion. Your partner should have declared their status as common law in the original application - even if you didn't have the evidence to back this up. I think trying to do it now is only going to create issues for either one or both of you.

Are there anything my parner could do to change the visa?
Or he should reapply with common law parner?
