help!!! CEC rejected....

That's not true, there is no way u will be refused when ur qualified. The cases of rejection on this forum among pgwp holders are those that counted their work experience bf graduation or those that use their off campus work permit to count their eligibility. Other than that, their job descriptions and their NOC might not match.

Another major reason why most immigration candidates fail in their various application is because most of them didn't discover this forum very early. They only joined the forum after they have made several mistakes in their applications. This forum is a great eye opener and almost all seniors here have acquired a lot of experiences and are even much better than so called immigration consultants. so people should learn.

I agree with uju, in my case I counted exp from PGWP not from date of convocation. And I think they may reject my application on basis of it.
But I also included experience of 2 year 8 month as research associate and include reference letter for it so they may put me in skilled position..

I am still waiting for my results, hope for best

As i dont think anyone who has (open work permit + visa officer same as ours )got medical in recent days.
I dont know about reapplying applicant. Its possible that second time approve application. But we cant say anything now. I know 2 ppl, who have same letter. But who has close permit got medical (i dont know his visa officer) , and other who has open work permit got refusal ( same visa officer as ours)

I have been following this forum for almost 2 years and i applied last october. Although i was not posting anything bcs i had not enough knowledge as other senior members have.
Can Any senior member answer why one get medical other get rejection with same letter. Refusal reason was duties. FYI one got rejection first, after 5 days second applicant got medical.
Ok guys do one thing ask for visa officer code who get refusal in comming days.

They do not want any students, i guess so. we have spent lot of money and time, still they reject us just because of open work permit. they think we have time and we can find other things, this is not only in CEC, its also on PNP, SINP,AINP and MNP ...

Not true at all.....i had completed my masters here and had 3 years PGWP and it all went through.............fairly smoothly. I understand that u r xtremely upset right now but, believe me thats not the case. Well, if its any consolation timing is not gonna be an issue anymore as graduate stream of cec is discontinued, though u still hv to ensure that u count ur 1 yr correctly.

The reference letter from the company is the single biggest document that u hv to get right and it is very difficult to define what is the correct letter, how to describe your duties. The only thing i can recommend is that try to read the duties mentioned in the NOC guide and reword some of the duties and keep some of them - but, come what may do not try to bulls#it.

I applied in november 2012 so i believe old rules are still applicable to me. its very sad that i wont able to join company which i dream for because of this pr rejection

Have you been rejected? I thought that you lost the job because of the delay in processing?

I would still say - have faith and dont lose hope. It is not good right now, but that means things can only get better. Hang in there...this too shall pass.

No, I got laid of in march but now selected in a new company which wants PR status to be done by 15 nov.

My CEC application was rejected, and I need to resubmit it as soon as possible. I have lots of qustions want to ask.... Please help me!!!

1. my Ielts was expiring at 13th August (means very soon), can I use it to submit the application and retake it after that? I have checked the lastest coming one is sept 21, but I need to apply the bridge working permit before DEC.

2. In the decision letter, it says my NOC and job duties don't match. but my job title indeed falls in the NOC I applied. In this case, what I should do? I want to change NOC, but should I write a letter to explain my job title and NOC? I cannot change the job title the company gives to me...

Hi Glanda,

You may also want to check if you check to see if you qualify under the provincial nominee program. Most provinces have options for candidates with job offer and the good thing is that once a province nominates you, you don't have to worry yourself about CIC reassessing you. CIC will only do medical and security screening on you.

"Note: For the purpose of Canadian Experience Class applications, the "Employment Requirements” listed in the description of each NOC occupation are not applicable". This section is there in OP 25 and OP 6.

Question: Then why this note is NOT in OP 25 A??
And your options are:

A. Dont they have enough space?
B. they are lazy to copy paste that note?
c. by mistake they forget that note(the only thing they deleted)?
D. CIC really meant it?
E. applicant/ VO are smart enough and they know already so they do not need this note.

I think many applicant's (job not related field/ not meet employent requirements) PR file under risk if the answer is OPTION "D"..

think there are still any chances my application be approve. My future employer asked me if i can submit PR letter by 15th november, i dont wan to keep him in dark any more

Do u need to let him know right the way? Do u think u can wait for few more week to let him know... I think the cic rule is confusing.... Different people have their own way to interpret it... Especially when the new rule or policy came out....

If you have counted experience because the confer day it could pose as a problem.

Sadly either way, there is no guarantee at all that you will receive PR by this date. It really is just a waiting game.

Yes, I know..I counted exp from PGWP instead of confer date....its unbelievable what i did...but cant do any thing other than waiting
