Hello Everyone

I have submitted my Express Entry profile but have confusion about the information I need to publish under the WORK HISTORY section which is extremely critical.
MY SITUATION:
My Employment start date on Canadian Payroll was 26-Feb-2018 and the end date was 20-04-2020.

However, for Work & Personal reasons had to travel to India and flew on 20 July 2019 and my intended return was in January 2020. During this period I was still working for the Canadian employer and was paid regularly, I have my pay stubs, I was taxed regularly like a regular Canadian employee and was even paying rent for my apartment, but I was doing work from Home outside of Canada.
Unfortunately due to COVID reasons, I could not return to Canada and my employer had to transfer me to its Indian office thus my Canadian payroll and employment ended on 20-April-2020.

Now how do I represent this situation in the Work History Section of Express Entry profile and how much points will I be credited for my Canadian experience.

Kindly assist me with this as my profile is already in the pool and I need to know if it needs any modification.

Currently, I have mentioned,
Start Date - 26-Feb-2018
End Date - 20-April-2020
Employer - Merino Consulting Services (Canada) Inc.
Country - Canada ( is this country of physical presence or country of employment)
Province - Ontario
City - Mississauga
Street address - 6375 Dixie Road (Should it my street address or Company Address??)

Country, city, Street Address - Is it my location or Employer.
My WORK HISTORY IN EE PROFILE

some consultants say this experience which technically based on start date to end date is over 2 yrs will only be considered for 1 yr due to physically not present in Canada for a given duration.

Thanks
Sahil

My only fear is will IRCC treat this as misleading information. genuinely I have worked for this Canadian employer over 2 years and its just unfortunate that I was not physically in Canada during the last 8 months of this employment.

Looking for your kind assistance.

I’m in the same boat, stuck in home country since March but still working for same Canadian employer and getting paid in CAD. When I asked IRCC on Twitter they told me that only work experience gained in Canada will be counted towards CEC.
I have received ITA recently and not sure whether to accept it or decline it.

Hello Jeevan

Thanks for sharing the information that you got from IRCC, I am pretty certain that if I submit my profile with two years of experience, I would get an ITA the next draw. But would that be a legitimate ITA.

Only work experience gained while PHYSICALLY in Canada is treated as Canadian work exp.

IRCC is very clear about that and the requirement is non negotiable.

Does it not taken into consideration during covid as there are/were travel restrictions for couple of months right?
