Help Can your PR Visa Be Given With less than 15 days of Validity

Hello,
I got an email to re-do medical as they have expired. In addtion to that they have asked to send passport and 2 pictures to immmigration office.
But the following sentence is very odd.

Got this email July 26, 2016. Information beend asked will take 1 week to send. Below email says her visa will expire in '2016/08/13'.
Is this really correct or there is a typo has to be 2017/08/13?. Tehnically my wife has 17 days. :'(

In order for us to return your documents, you must provide our office with a pre-paid airway bill ( a
prepaid envelope from an international courier service company such as DHL, UPS, Fedex,
etc.) Please ensure that the courier company used has service available in Mexico.

Your visa(s) will expire on 2016/08/13. If the validity of your passport or the passport of any
accompanying family member expires before this date, your visa will expire at this earlier date. If it is
the case, that person may wish to apply for a new passport. Please note that you must travel to
Canada within the validity of your visa.

if she receives the visa and it expires within a short amount of time, you can send a case specific inquiry and request it to be extended. i would recommend sending one now and asking if what was sent is accurate and voice your concerns about being able to land in that short of time.

be mindful of requesting too long of an expiry date, that can trigger them to assume she is not interested in settling immediately and cause her application to be reevaluated. it's quite logical to expect more than 2 weeks. it's not logical to ask for 6+ month, IMO. I'd request 2-3 months MAX.
