My sister got refusal twice and my mom got one time refusal and second time thats today she got letter that her passport was damaged and needs ro renew.
Should i reply for my sister again ?
I want my family to see me graduate...

1. What were the refusal reasons?

2. How long was her intended visit?

3. What documents did she submit? Plus, do post some basic information about her personal and professional situation

4. Even if you reapply today, it's highly unlikely you're sister will get a TRV in time for your convocation

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary
resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and
financial status.

For My Sister

· Given economic conditions, employment prospects, considering your travel history, economic establishment and family ties, I am not satisfied that you would respect the terms of your admission as a temporary resident in Canada.

For My Mom it showed your passport is dispatched through courier patner but i couldnt track it. Than i mailed banglore vfs and bluedart.
Got a reply from banglore vfs on 8th June to pickup my moms passport from the ahemdabad vfs but the timing was 2 to 4pm. She recieved her passport today with a letter saying passport is damaged and please renew and apply with 30 days.

Such a big hassle .....
Seem impossible to make my own family see me graduate.

Intend to visit was for 15 days
From 10 June to 25 June.
Finance showed was 16k CAD as liquid funds.

My mom works as General Manager in an Engineering Company since 1998.

Current Job Designation Letter
Job leave sanction letter
6 month pay stubs
2 years of Tax returns
Property papers and tax receipts
Flight tickets
Travel Insuarance
College bonafide (sister)
No objection letter (sister)
My convocation letter

She recieved her passport today with a letter saying passport is damaged and please renew and apply with 30 days.

This issue can be sorted easily.

Your mom must visit the passport office and request for a new passport booklet to be issued. It is possible to be issued the booklet within a few hours, if she is lucky. She must take the letter from IRCC + evidence of your convocation

Is the passport number and your mom's name legible + photo is visible (not smudged/damaged)?

Yes all detail in the passport is legible and the photo is visible as well. The only thing damaged is the first page's plastic that came off.

IMO, it's not a major damage if the details are visible. If the passport authorities are kind, it is possible to get the new booklet in literally a couple of hours.

I suggest she meets the Passport Officer and explains the reason for the urgent travel. If he refuses to issue the new booklet in 1-2 days, she can apply for a re-issue under the Tatkal Scheme

Yes she did tried explaining but aacording to their system they dont even allow people to enter the passport office, anyhow after contacting them there was only one point conveyed...... please book an online appointment and follow renewal procedure as thats the only way to get it done in time.

She must book an appointment as per the time slots available for Tatkal. Do NOT book an appointment for a regular passport. This is very crucial.

She will get her new passport within 3-4 days under Tatkal, not in one week.

She can then submit the new passport to VFS with a request for expedited visa stamping

1. Which study program and currently in which year?

2. Does she have any other reasons: Member of a sports club, Rotaract/Lions Club, etc?

My sister is enrolled in a Medical Program in India and she is in her 1st year. I just want her to come here to visit me for couple of weeks with my mom.

No she isnt a member of any club.
