HELP..Background check question

Hi,question I came to canada as a refugee , and my refugee case was rejected ,now I have AIP through my sponsorship spousal app. ,the cic officer give my passport back and they told me the next step is re-do my medicals and background checks.. my questions is: the cic did background check once on my previews refugee claim ? And now my second stage is gonna be fast?

All i can say is the refugee process application and the sponsorship application are two different applications. My husband was refused the refugee also and had to leave Canada, we started the sponsorship application and I have to go thru the same as everyone else. Hope that helps answer your question.

Hello,
I had my interview last week and got my Alp two day after cos the VO told me and said he send out my letter, my question now is I'm a refugee too which was refuse in December 2011, will cic do a new background check for or go with my refugee cos I know of people that got their refugee and apply for PR but cic didn't ask for police cert from.
Velo can you let me know if they ask you for police cert again
