hello everyone
i'm planning to apply for the FSWP for noc 3215. my background is as follows:
i have a doctor's degree in medical imaging and nuclear medicine. i'm working in a hospital as a nuclear medicine physician(Noc 3111). but i'm also doing some of the jobs of a nuclear medicine technologist (which is under NOC 3215). am i eligible to apply?
i first have some doubts about it. but some people say it's ok for me to apply. so i'm working on the application forms and preparing for ECA assessment. however, recently when i'm filling one of the forms: schedule 3 (in which i have to describe my work experience), my dounts arise again. in the form, i have to identify the primary occupation and the corresponding noc code. so my question is, should i write 3215 or 3111? if i write 3215, my license indicates i'm a physician, not a technologist. if i write 3111, will the immigration officer refuse my application because my job title is not consistent with the eligible occupation?
thank you!

Consider these points
1. You can not apply in a NOC which is not listed by CIC
2. Your duties should be similar to the duties listed under the NOC (Refer NOC website) you are writing in your application.
3. Your work experience letter should list/mentions those duties and they should be consistent with your designation (designation can be diff, it doesnt matter as long as your duties under that designation are similar to NOC listed duties)

Hope this will help

thank you very much. but still a little confused. here's some information for me:
on my license, i'm a physician in the area of medical imaging and radiology, which on the noc list falls to 3111. for my master's and doctor's studies, my major is medical imaging and nuclear medicine. for my current job duties, there is overlapping with the description for noc 3215. so what should i write for the noc code in
so should i write 3215 or 3111 in the work experience decription on the form: schedule 3?
thank you again!

Hi,
I have applied under 3215 already. My application arrived at CIC on May 13th.
Basically since NOC 3111 won't get you in since it's not on the list, apply under 3215. If you get in- great. If you don't you've really lost nothing. I believe regardless of your current job duties since you have qualifications in Medical Imaging you would still qualify. That makes sense to me being in the field. So put your application in for 3215 and try your luck. If your work experience letter details some 3215 kind of duties that would be great. Goodluck!

thank you! and good for you. i haven't taken IELTS yet. you are right and not exactly right. maybe i worry too much. but if i get rejected for immigration application, there will be slim chance to going to canada on a business visa or student visa, so i am told by a friend. and about application of this time, the aim of course, is to get as much chance as possible.
so based on what you say, i will have to write 3215 in my description of job title. it's ok for this. but my worry is that for my license, i'm a physician. so the visa officer may have doubts about it. but for the moment, i really have no alterntative. just try my luck.
thanks
