Thank you all so much for your advice, It's been completely helpful.
I will have to go over all of this with my girlfriend soon. :]
Mmmm Should I still take the CELPIP or... wait? Look for a job that will do the LMIA and extend my stay for another 6 months? and how or where can I go to request to extend my stay? When's the right time to?

P.s I'm a She. So we're a homosexual couple... Does that change anything?
No - being a same-sex couple doesn't change a thing. Again, extremely easy for you to either get married or become common law.

You won't need CELPIP if you go the spousal sponsorship route - so it might make sense to wait. You can apply to extend your stay as a visitor in Canada towards the end of your allowed stay. Make sure your extension applicaiton reaches CIC before your current stay expires.

It doesn't matter. You can apply online to extend your visitor status for another 6 months. Just go to the cic website and write "extend visitor status" and the application will come up. If your request is granted, and you stay for an entire year and can document that (be sure to have things like leases and bank accounts in both names), and assuming your girlfriend earns enough to sponsor you (and is willing to), at the end of your extension you will be common-law and she can apply to sponsor you for PR. In the meantime, search out employers who might be willing to get an LMIA for you - or who will hire you after your PR application goes through and you can work without one.

'Divorced Philippine partner' is the turtle-on-its-back of conjugal partner examples . . .

But in the example, if they lived together for a year, would they be common law even though she has another husband?
It's definitely the go-to conjugal example.

The issue with becoming common-law is that they would have to do it in a third country. The Filipino partner would had to have been refused a TRV and the Canadian partner cannot live with them in the Philippines because adultery is illegal there. I recall reading on the forum about someone who had to leave the Philippines because their partner's separated spouse reported them for adultery.
