If it is only 6 months, that is not very much compared to many others. You can try for visit visa for sure. They know you have to go back to Morocco to get the mail from the immigration so they don't have to worry that you will just stay forever on your visit visa.

Peaceful eyes congratulations!! Immigration from the Rabat office will take lots longer than 6 months. My husband and I have been waiting 10 months and still no answer - maybe a year before it is finalized. They usually do not grant visitors visas in the interim. In fact, when I asked about it, I was told it was possible, but not likely. So I went back once half way through. By the way, the website says 80% of the files in 7 months. But do not think 7 months, think 14 months and maybe you will get lucky. However, you are a woman and usually a woman's interview at Rabat takes about 5 minutes versus hours for the men. And it seems that women do not get as rigourous security checks.

Hi,

It took my Husband 9 1/2 months to get his Visa from Beginning to end.

I wish you a happy marriage, and unfortunately a lot of patience.

God bless and good luck

Dear friends

thnx a lot for ur reply even i found the result a little bit complex ...i think the only canadian system which is difficult maybe BECAUSE of the papers go to france first & then to canada
but i didn't give them my file from rabat i let my husband work on them from there

i already talk to my husband's lowyer in canada & he said everything will be easy as he 's sure & when i check the canadian web sites i found that the immigration take from ( 4 months to 7 months ) it's strange thing the ppl say something and the system say something else
then where is the problem which make the files hard to accept easly !!!!

maybe the searching of husband 's family satuation !!

The lawyer cannot guarantee that everything will be easy. There are no guarantees. Immigration makes the timelines. Yes, you are right, the websites do not accurately reflect the waiting times. I haven't heard of anyone having a 4 month process time in the last year.

My husband's file was and is straight forward. No prior marriages, no children, never left his country, lived at the same address his entire life. And yet we are still at 9.5 months and at least 2 more to go. Why? The story I was told was that processing grinds to a standstill in the summer months due to vacations and processing of student visas. Also my husband's delay was due to the fact that someone FORGOT to start the security checks when they first received the file. That delay cost us 3 months. Then when his medical exam expired (after one year), we waited 3 weeks for a form that still has not arrived. As I said before, expect at least a year. Then if it is sooner then you will be pleasantly surprised.

Good luck.
