I just found this forum last week through a friend. I applied for citizenship May 2017, and am not living with my wife for about 4 months now we have some issues but we still trying to settle and we communicate once in a while we had a daughter together.
When I applied for my citizenship I choose married as my marital status,later I found out I could choose legally separated since we not living together for now. Wondering if am wrong or right choosing married as my marital status for my citizenship.

I think depend on you to choose either married or legally separated because either you or your wife just had issue and no legal document involve yet.
I believe some senior on this forum will also answer your question.

Because you have issues with your wife does not mean you are legally separated.

I guess legaly seperated means that you both signed a seperation agreement under lawyers supervesion.

So, technicaly you both are still married
