Hi everybody my name is Dee, and I am new here. I'm Polish national however for last 17 years I have lived in England with my husband and my children. I am 40 years old and I don’t know if it's a midlife crisis or forgotten old dream, but I decided to give a try for Canada. We already tried once , for the Skilled Worker Visa, and we waited for almost 5 years , however unfortunately, soon after our submission of all the documents , the rules changed , and everyone who applied that year was rejected. And now we try again, this time we want to apply for a student visa. I have already submitted necessary documents to one of the universities in Alberta. In December, I will know if I am accepted. If I get into the college I am going to finish it , and even if I don’t get new visa after those 4 years it still will be an interesting experience in our lives. This is just the beginning of our journey, so if there is someone on this forum who has done it before we will appreciate any advice or tips.
It's great that such a forum exists and what I see people here are very nice and helpful. I will be grateful for any help. Thank you in advance Dee

All the best Dee! I have also done something like this, when I left settled life and took decision, pretty late, to move to Canada on Student Visa. Since you are trying for Study permit, I would suggest your husband to try the dependent work permit. This way you may mitigate the financial burden of moving to a new place when one person work full time and the other may work part time.

Thank you so much for your answer. Is good to know that someone had done it before. I hope you don't mind if i ask you a question sometimes? Thank you again
