Hi, got my whole package sent back to me today, letter said missing IMM 5406. I swear I had checked my papers a thousand times, the document checklist is even checked by me and BF, before sending it out. It is upsetting as my work permit is expired already and I lost my Implied status. And it is scary to apply for visitor's visa being denied and ask me to leave. What to do?

If your visitor's visa is denied - you could apply from your home country. Where are you from?

Yeah, worst case scenario - you'll need to gather your papers and apply from the Philippines

What I am gonna do is apply again Inland ( I don't know if this is possible), my BF doesn't agree us separated the whole process. Being out of status scares me though.

I know I should leave ASAP, but anybody here applied Inland without status? Just gathering some ideas to circumvent the law as I am depressed now.

My work permit was expired last March and I am not employed so it is not possible to restore.

They sent the ENTIRE application back because of ONE missing form. Wow. Saw a couple others recently on here that were the same, ie ONE missing/erroneous form and boom here ya go back to "Start" for you! I'm trying to see both sides; Yes YOU could have been more thorough, but THEY are in the 'business' of government service. How is it serving citizens to be so callous? Several missing forms, a completely disorganized dossier with missing photos etc, I would get as reasons to return the entire app. But this just smacks of insensitive and petulant bureaucracy at its worst.

Yes but at the same time, it is very clear on the CIC website, that any incomplete or missing forms could result in having the entire application mailed back to you. It does suck however that it is entirely possible CIC was the one who lost your forms, and I've seen it happen a lot.

As mentioned above, the onus is on the applicant to send a complete application. CIC states this on their website and on the application. I have heard of applications being returned because one page was missing a signature.

I acknowledged that ok one form is missing and it was sent back and my application is back to square one. It is all my fault and nothing else. what I am asking right now is can I apply still via Inland without status? Anybody have the same situation as mine?

you need status to apply inland and when it visitors visa you can renew it everything six month. That's what I've learnt from the forum , if you can't find a way to get status then you have no option than to leave and apply Outland . Sorry
