Health medical insurance - Super Visa - need help

My parents received super visa in 2012, for which I bought the 1 year health insurance. (I know I had to purchase one year for their initial application, as this was the minimum requirement). They stayed for a year a returned to their home country.

They are coming to visit for again (2nd time) 4 months only this year (2016).

Question:

Do i need to purchase 1 year health insurance again? (I do know about the partial refund system, or the new monthly pay option.)
OR
Can i simply buy insurance for the length of their stay, with the same $100K etc, requirements?

The reason i ask is that I bought insurance through a parent super visa broker, who's website I found online, and explained to him what I needed. After 40 minute phonecall, I got coverage but only for the 120 days when I looked at the policy.

I contacted him again asking about this, as the government website says 1 year health insurance. He said he has been selling insurance for super visa for 5 years, and guarantees there to be no problem at customs. He explained that they have a return ticket, and thus this would not cause a problem and parents policy covers the duration of their stay.

Can those who have experience in this area please advise.

Thanks in advance.

FYI - my parents arrived at Calgary on their supervisa, with a 120 day return ticket. CBSA did NOT check at all if they had insurance.
