Health Insurance in Calgary!!!

I'm travelling to calgary shortly. Should i take health insurance with me from my country or how soon do i get health insurance from Alberta state? I read somewhere that in Ontario it takes 3-months to get health insurance whereas in Calgary(Alberta state)one gets it the very next day. Is it true. I need some valuable answers from Seniors or from the person who have already moved to Calgary.

Dear Kanamen,
Also i wanted confirmation from you whether it applies for Provincial or Federal. I got my PR through federal skilled worker category. The link which you provided says that if a person got his PR in Alberta and is moving to Alberta from outside canada, his coverage begins the very next day. But I belongs to Federal Skilled Worker category.
Please confirm.
