What's the waiting time like to get a health card in saskatchewan for permanent residents.

The health coverage is immediate but without a health card it's kind of a hassle especially when choosing a doctor.

Does anyone here have experience with this? And what was it like?

Thanks everyone.

Did you ask when you applied? Did you apply? Just call them.

There are requirements for proof of residency - lease, name on utility bills etc. Once you send this in with your application you should receive the health card in a week or two.

Hi everyone

I, my wife and my daughter did soft landing last year in March and we are going to move to Saskatoon permanently on April. However, I would like to go Saskatoon on February in advance and rent a flat. Thereafter, i will bring my family on April.

In this case, can I apply the health card as a family on February before my wife and daughter landing if I can add my wife's name into the rental contract?

Thanks for your kind help
