Having trouble getting police clearance through Pretoria. Ideas?

Does anyone have experience /tips on getting Pretoria police services to process a police clearance application? My husband sent his application by courier almost a month ago and it is still not even showing on their system.

I do not know if this is of any help as I am new and do not feel I'm qualified to answer....however I found this through searching...

Applications for police clearance should be forwarded directly to the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Pretoria, not to the South African Consulate General, and will be finalized within six to eight weeks from the date the application was received.

Have you received the police clearance. Seems to be a daunting task. I am also from SA and looking to immigrate.

I did receive it. It took over 3 months. They were not particularly helpful when it came to organizing shipping nor keeping me up to date on the progress. It was a very frustrating experience.

Where in Canada do you live currently and for how long have you been there?

I have applied through the Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program but am still waiting for a response since April 2014. We visited our family in Winnipeg Manitoba in December 2012, what a great Country!
