having both USA DL and Canada Photo ID (any issues in future when returned back)

Hi All,

I landed last year in Canada, and applied for Ontario ID card the same day. After few days returned to USA, and since then I am in USA. My friend got the ID card, and sent it to me in USA.

Now I am planning to return to Canada on PR and settle there. Since I have US DL for long time, I can exchange it for Ontario driving licence when I go back.

Now my question is, Does it create any issue that I have both Ontario Photo ID and USA DL? If so, before I move there would it be possible to return the Ontario Photo ID from USA to Service Ontario?

Can you can not have both Ontario Photo ID and Driving License
You need to surrender your Photo ID.I think the system will also alert the staff while issuing the DL
