Hi, We are expecting a baby, who will born here in Ontario, I wanna know all about the benefits, how to apply, when, what kind of benefits are, the child tax benefit and the maternity and parental leaving, please if you know all about this, could you explain me? thanks.

There is child tax benefit: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/cctb/ and child care benefit: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/bnfts/uccb-puge/menu-eng.html

In order to be eligible, you need to be a citizen or a PR; or a temporary resident (who has been living in Canada for at least 18 months and still has a valid permit) and you must live in Canada with your child. The benefits are usually applied for in the name of the primary caretaker of the child (usually the mother).

In order to get maternity benefits: http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/sc/ei/benefits/maternityparental.shtml
the mother needs to qualify for EI which means having worked at least 600 insurable hrs. in the past 12 months. Maternity benefit is like EI, 55% of your average weekly earnings, however with a maximum of $524 per week. There is a 2 week waiting period you get nothing. After that maternity benefit is for up to 15 weeks. After that parental benefit for up to 35 weeks. The 35 weeks can be split between the parents in case the mother wants to go back to work and the father wants to take care of the baby.

Hi
I want to ask a question
When apply for immigration as private sponsorship the form of generic application for canada. IMM0008 which contain barcode, in passport number field which is mandatory to answer i put wrong passport number by mistake and validate and submit to cic so the application is return or delay or no problem
Please help!!

You must inform CIC or Visa Office immediately and send them the corrected form through email or surface mail along with an explanation letter.

Hope this helps.

The current one. *last 52 weeks* is the clue.

Please explain me better, the last employment is only neccesary?

If applying now, give info on all jobs within the last 52 weeks. 52 weeks = 1 year so you would give info from Sept. 7 2014 to Sept. 7 2015
