I landed almost two months ago and currently living in BC but haven`t received my pr card yet. Now, I have a important trip to take to south america in July but I don`t know if I will have received my pr card by then.

I still have a valid visitors visa on my passport that will only expire in November 2017.

Can I travel and re-enter the country with the visitors visa, even though I`m already a permanent resident??? Or do I have to apply for a travel document??

Thanks for any help.

You need either your PR card or a Travel Document. You need to wait until you are outside of Canada to apply for the TD.

Ideally, you'll receive your card in a few days then. Current waiting time is 57 days. If not, as scylla said, PRTD is the way to go.

Interesting that you still have a visitors visa. Normally, they cross all the Canada visas in your passport and take all the permits from you when you land. I suggest not to bank on the visitors visa you have.
You would very likely have your PR card by July. If not travel document is the safest option after you leave Canada.

My visitor visa wasn't crossed, and it is valid up to 2021: only my immigrant visa was crossed upon the single entry made upon landing.
