Hello everyone,

I had did my landing on April end and still haven't got my PR card yet.

Should I be worried, can I call the CIC and ask them ?

Thanks

Don't be worried but call CIC to get a timeframe.

Same here, we landed at April 24th, haven't got the PR card yet. I called CIC June28th, the agent said it hasn't sent yet. Also recently the CIC office telephone agency line are so busy, it always said all the lines are busy and cannot transfer to an agent.

You guys wont believe this, so I figured it takes 8 weeks to get the card and today was the 8th week

I called the CIC to check the status and the lady told me there was no record of me landing and I was like this is crazy I did my landing on the 24th of April got my passport stamped and got the confirmation of PR. Apparently the border officer hasnt updated my file has bring a PR and now I have to wait another 30 business day for the border officer to update my file and then wait more days to get the card.

Did you enter Canada via the US-Canadian border at Detroit ?

I was already in Canada for 6 years, I just went to Niagara falls and did a flag poling.

Hi draxz,

I got my ppr and since I am in Canada and want to do landing.....do I cross US border (Peace Bridge) and return to Canada and do my landing ???What do u mean by flag polling at Niagra fallas ??

Thanks

The landing is very simple and I did at rainbow bridge by walk and I'm sure it's the same for the peace bridge

First exit Canada (had to pay 50c toll) by walking the bridge to the US side and tell the officer you are doing a landing in Canada he will verify your documents And give you a white entry denial form. Take the form and walk for the US side to Canada and tell the Canadian officer u r here for the handing and hand over yor docs and the US denial paper. That's it they wil ask u to wait and will hand over the PR confirmation

Since I got my residency as a graduate I didn't have to show any bank balance all I gave was my passport the prr and driving license

it literally took me 20min and it was very simple

Let me know if u want any thing else

Hi draxz1289,

I have a US visa...so doest it mean that I cant do flagpoling?? Also my work permit got rejected and am told to restore status withinn 90 days. I know I will be getting my passport in a week. Do I restore my status first (even though its a week I received a letter ...still have 80 days to go ) or I leave Canada ...go to India and re-enter Canada and complete landing and become PR ??

Hi draxz1289,

After landing did u have to apply for PR card by filing up Form MM5444 and other forms according to the website : http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/prcard.asp
or you will automatically receive your new card as part of the immigration process.

Thanks for ur help

You don't need to apply it will be mailed to you automatically
the officer will tell u that the card take about 6-8 weeks to receive.

Hey

U don't need a us visa to do a landing I didn't have one
Since techinically ur not entering the US. You dont need to do a restoration since when you get your passport and prr your passport will have a single canadian entry visa which will be used up when you do your landing

You don't have to go back to India, just take your passport and prr and do the landing in niagara

Hey all

I just got my pr card yay

Congrats to you, can you please share your timeline after you deposited your passport to CIC
