hi all,

my name in all my documents is "George Washington" except for my old (handwritten) birth certificate in which it is written as "George Washington Bush". after introduction of computerized birth certificates in my country, I got one made with the name "George Washington". I plan to submit new computerized birth certificate with the application instead of the old one written in my country's native language.

other than this: my oldest bank account (which is not active anymore) was also with the name "George Washington Bush". however all my new bank accounts, in fact all documents for that matter, are with the name "George Washington". I still have the bank statements of this account showing my salary deposits till 2006. would this bank statement with the name "George Washington Bush" be required at any stage in the application process? it wouldn't be able to verify though as the account is no more active...

now, should I write my "George Washington Bush" in the generic application form where it asks "have you ever used any other name"?

does giving two names increase the chances of lengthier verifications and security check?

looking forward to you insightful responses...

regards.

hmmmm

The chances are fancy if you change your name once again to 'Osama is Back'...

what say?

They will verify through your name, mentioned in passport. Do not make it complicated and use the name which you are having on your passport, ID cards, birth certificate and bank statement.
Good Luck..

I think, I didn't get it completely.

are you saying, I should not give "george Washington bush" name in "have you ever used any other name" question?

can anyone else also elaborate please...

Name mentioned on your Passport is your Unique ID outside your country and you will be identified through that.

Name mentioned on your educational documents is your Unique ID and WES/CES bodies will identified you through that.

Hope this helps you

Not mentioning it would be lying, also known as misrepresentation. This can result in your app being refused and you being banned from Canada if CIC finds out. Just declare it.

Yes you have declare everything related to you. If you miss anything you would be in serious trouble.

Mention all the reasons in cover letter

do I need to give an affidavit saying that both names belongs to me?.

No. Just explain it in an additional sheet.
